Buffet infinity (2025)

🍽️ WELCOME TO BUFFET INFINITY — WHERE THE FOOD IS QUESTIONABLE AND CAPITALISM MAY BE AN ELDRITCH HORROR.
Rae and Ween sat down to watch Buffet Infinity “just for fun,” and approximately 90 minutes later emerged with their brains scrambled, their appetites destroyed, and an urgent need to TALK ABOUT THIS MOVIE.
Directed by Simon Glassman, Buffet Infinity throws us into a bizarre Canadian nightmare told through fake local commercials, news broadcasts, infomercials, public-access weirdness, and the kind of late-'90s channel surfing that makes you wonder if you fell asleep with Adult Swim playing in the background.
At the center of it all: a sweet little mom-and-pop sandwich shop battling an ever-expanding all-you-can-eat buffet that just keeps growing, changing, consuming, and becoming...everything.
What starts as absurdist comedy slowly mutates into full-blown cosmic horror, complete with existential dread, corporate consumption, millennial identity crises, late-stage capitalism, Lovecraftian nihilism, and food that somehow manages to look both TOO WET and TOO DRY.
It's Too Many Cooks meets cosmic horror with a dash of Skinamarink, local-access television, and the horrifying realization that the buffet might actually be the one eating YOU.
And we freaking loved it.
.Seriously. Watch Buffet Infinity. Then watch it again because you probably missed 700 things scrolling across the bottom of the screen the first time.
